Intro To Cameras & Health & Safety Tutorial

In class, we were shown with huge detail how to use the video cameras and how to keep safe whilst using them. We were also shown how to take care of them and how to pack them away and use them in the correct way.
Firstly, we were shown how to turn camera's on and off. Then we were told not to touch the lens of the camera as fingerprints can ruin the film quality.
We were told where to put the two memory cards and two are used in case one runs out. We were informed about battery life and how it is wise to have a spare battery.
We were then told how to focus the camera properly and then to record footage and play back the footage recorded. We were also taught how to zoom the camera.
Next we were shown how to use the tripod, and adjust it to suitable levels. Also to put the camera on and off the tripod carefully and ensuring that it didn't drop which is a safety hazard.
Once finished with the cameras, they must be put back the way they were found and ensured that the bag and all the equipment is in the bag safely and securely.

When filming, my team members and I always ensure we are working safely near the camera and make sure everything we were told in the tutorial is put into practice.
