Skill Audit: Sound And Also Livetype!!

In our lesson we were introduced to two programs called - Soundtrack Pro and Livetype. These programs were vital for the editing of our thrillers, as we need to add music to create the moods and we also need to use livetype for our titles which we been looking at with our teacher to make our title sequences realistic.

Soundtrack Pro was the program that we used to compose and edit our music for our thrillers. The program featured in many music clips that varied from suspenseful to orchestra music, we eventually found tracks that suited our thriller which we later associated with our film. The music we choose was urban and hip hop because we was looking to create a young urban thriller similiar to adulthood. Soundtrack enabled us to create our own unique piece of music from scratch. The tutorial taught us how to:

stretch sound of the timeline
mix sounds
listen to a variety of sounds
explore sound genres
make a sound loud/quiet as moods change

Livetype was very useful as we need to add or title on to make our film look realistic we looked at many title sequences to see the order at which they put the cast, director and producer and so on. On of the title sequences i looked at from a real media productions was :

At first we see columbia pictures presents which is what we did however we used candimedia. After you got the producers and so. We wanted to make our movie as realistic as possible therefore we tried to mirror real media productions in our media productions. With sofware livetype we was able to put title in at any point in our movie we didnt use the most colourful or abtract font because we felt most media production keep the title simple which again we tried to mirror.
